Questerre Reports on Incident at the Beaver River Field

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - June 26, 2005) - Questerre Energy Corporation (TSX:QEC) ("Questerre" or the "Company") reported today on an incident at the Beaver River Field (the "Field") in British Columbia on Friday, June 24, 2005.

A fire broke out in the workshop situated approximately a mile away from the Duke metering station at the Field. Operations staff contained the fire following the Company's emergency response procedures and no injuries were sustained.

The Company is currently investigating the cause of the accident and will be reviewing the field incident report. Based on the initial report, damage to the workshop and equipment was minimized by the efforts of the operations staff. The Company expects that the loss will be fully covered by its insurance.

The Company also reported that there was no damage to the production and gathering facilities and the Field remains on production without disruption. The Company has notified the regulatory authorities including the Oil & Gas Commission.
