Questrade Wins Candidate Experience Award for Best Practices in Talent Recruitment for Second Year in a Row

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 02, 2015) - Questrade is delighted to announce they were presented with their second consecutive Candidate Experience (CandE) Award at the fifth annual Candidate Experience Awards reception and banquet on October 1. Recognizing the company’s leading and innovative talent recruitment practices, Questrade is one of six Canadian companies to be recognized.

After learning of the win, Questrade’s Chief People Officer, Kristina Tierney said: “At Questrade we strive to provide an outstanding experience for our employees, and that core philosophy extends to the thousands of job applicants who come to us each year. Having great people, sound recruitment practices and processes, and leveraging technology has positioned us to provide a consistently positive experience for our job candidates. Our motto is ‘work doesn’t need to suck’ and we believe that’s also true when looking for a job. We are honoured to be recognized again with a 2015 North American Candidate Experience Award.”

Produced annually by Talent Board, the CandE Awards have grown over the last four years, and in 2015, the program saw 200 North American companies participate and 130,000 candidate survey responses submitted. Through its strenuous benchmarking process, the CandE Award winners represent the best of the best in terms of recruitment practices that treat job applicants with respect, dignity and professional courtesy, whether or not they are selected for a position.

“More companies today recognize that a positive candidate experience is essential to their ability to continually attract the best candidates, build a quality talent pipeline and maintain a positive employer brand,” said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function. “The 50 winners of the 2015 North American Candidate Experience Awards certainly understand how to provide a stellar candidate experience, demonstrating the practices that make this goal achievable.”

Adds Tierney: “Being able to provide a consistently positive experience for all of our candidates is important to us. Many of our job candidates are also our clients, and we never lose sight of this fact. Every person deserves the same respect and highly responsive service from Questrade, regardless of the nature or purpose of their contact with us. It is an incredible feeling to be recognized with this award.”

Questrade’s CandE Award is another in the company’s growing list of accolades. In March, Questrade was again recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and received an exclusive gold standard for achieving four successive years as an award winner. In 2014, President and CEO, Edward Kholodenko, was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Ontario) in the services category.
