Quickoffice Brings New Social Publishing Capabilities, Printing and PDF Support to Its Mobile Office Productivity iPad App

Quickoffice Connect™ Mobile Suite for iPad Now Streamlines Document Sharing Across SlideShare, Scribd and Docstoc, and Supports iOS AirPort Functionality

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - March 18, 2011) - Quickoffice, Inc., the global leader in mobile office productivity solutions, today announced the newest software update to Quickoffice Connect™ Mobile Suite for iPad. The new version, 2.1.0, seamlessly integrates access to popular social collaboration providers, including SlideShare, Scribd and Docstoc, making it easier for users to share Microsoft® Office files and digital content with colleagues, family and friends on the go. In addition, Quickoffice now supports Apple's iOS AirPrint functionality, enabling consumers to print directly from Word documents, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations.

This latest release further enhances mobile productivity for the iPad, combining comprehensive Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint editing tools, along with anytime, anywhere cloud access to Box.net, Google Docs, Huddle, MobileMe, Dropbox and SugarSync, and introducing new 'sharing' service providers SlideShare, Scribd and Docstoc. SlideShare offers its users the ability to share presentations, documents and PDFs either publicly or privately. Social publishing site Scribd enables the sharing of documents and Docstoc is a community for people to find and share professional documents.

"We are at an exciting time in the wireless industry with the merging of powerful capabilities found in mobile devices, applications and cloud services," said David Halpin, VP engineering at Quickoffice. "Our latest iPad software update takes advantage of this integration and brings new innovative features to our customers. We believe the ability to access files stored in the cloud and share them across the latest social networking sites is key functionality that more consumers will leverage as their workflow continues to become more mobile."

As part of its latest update, Quickoffice also added the ability to save Office files as PDFs within the new print functionality. Consumers will find new in-app help guides and FAQs to help them take advantage of all the latest functionality. In addition, there is a new in-app support ticket to streamline the resolution of customer questions and / or requests. Quickoffice's iPad app is currently available for promotional price of $14.99 in the Business category in Apple's iTunes® App Store.
