Quin Hotel Offers 'Quintessential New York for the Holidays' Experience

The Magic of an 'Only in New York' Holiday Windows Tour, Caroling and Hot Chocolate

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 4, 2014) - The Quin, New York's quintessential lifestyle hotel, is offering a "Quintessential New York for the Holidays" experience for its guests, including individually guided walking tours of iconic holiday windows, delightful hot chocolate from Jacques Torres en route, and caroling on selected dates in the hotel lobby. Guests will enjoy a private walking tour to take in some of the city's most famous holiday window displays at destinations including Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany & Co., Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Barneys, Bloomingdale's, and Henri Bendel. The guides' expertise can help avoid the long lines and offer the ultimate viewing experience

New York's leading retailers are pulling out all the stops this season for unforgettable holiday displays. Saks Fifth Avenue's six animated windows, for instance, will be transformed into scenes from classic fairy tales immaculately rendered in an Art Deco style, with iconic New York locations providing the backdrop. Whether it's Rumplestiltskin spinning straw into gold in gloomy subway tunnels, Rapunzel using her hair to swing about the Empire State Building, Cinderella arriving at the Saks Fifth Avenue Ball, or Snow White being tempted by an evil apple merchant in the heart of Times Square, each window depicts a different fantasy New York moment.

Along the route of this classic New York winter wonderland, guests will come in out of the cold for hot chocolate at the East 57th Street location of the legendary Jacques Torres Chocolate, while perhaps picking up some holiday treats for those back home.

Fondly known as Mr. Chocolate, Master Pastry Chef Jacques Torres (the youngest pastry chef in history to earn the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France medal in pastry) combines traditional French techniques with his vast knowledge and passion for the culinary arts to produce luxe, creative and edgy chocolate treats inspired by the innovative spirit and energy of the city. From cleverly named chocolate bon bons, award winning hot chocolate, decadently rich chocolate chip cookies to all natural ice cream, Jacques Torres Chocolate produces real food bursting with real flavor made without taking any shortcuts or adding any preservatives, extracts or "essences." Jacques Torres Chocolate is undeniably a taste of quintessential New York.

Back at the festively decorated lobby of the Quin, guests will be treated to holiday caroling by The Broadway Four on selected evenings in December, including: December 9, 16 and additional nights to be announced. The Broadway Four is a singing quartet made up of four dynamic performers, including: Thomas Dieter (Bass); Tom Guthrie (Tenor); Michael Osso (Baritone); and Skie Ocasio, who serves as producer/director in addition to performing. The Broadway Four is known for its ability to connect with audiences, telling enthralling stories through song. Having played leading roles in national touring productions of Broadway shows, and through their experiences as soloists at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Town Hall, and as choristers with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, each member of the quartet brings a wide range of skills to the performances.

The Quintessential New York for the Holidays experience is available at a starting rate of $814 per night based on a two-night minimum stay, with additional nights available starting at $549. The package includes two nights' accommodations, a personal guided walking tour for 2 people*, and complimentary hot chocolate at Jacques Torres. Complimentary caroling performances at the Quin are included on selected evenings listed. *Additional guests may be added to the walking tour for a small supplementary fee. Reservations are available at http://www.theQuinhotel.com/.
