QUMAS Announces User Group Steering Committee to Assist Customers With Compliance Planning and Programs

Leading Compliance Professionals to Provide Strategic Insight and Counsel for QUMAS User Group and Customers

FLORHAM PARK, NJ--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - QUMAS, the leading developer of enterprise governance, risk and compliance solutions, announced the creation of the QUMAS User Group Steering Committee, the first step in formally launching the QUMAS user group QUCOMM (QUMAS User Community). The steering committee will provide a forum for information exchange between the QUMAS user community and QUMAS regarding compliance market trends, strategic perspectives and how to best address compliance issues today and in the future. Founding members include representatives from Biogen Idec, Boehringer Ingelheim, Hollister Incorporated, ICU Medical, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, MPI Research, Neurogen Corporation, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

The Steering Committee is tasked with helping the QUMAS User Group foster the exchange of experiences, best practices and knowledge between people who use QUMAS technologies. The Steering Committee will also provide a sounding board for QUMAS management and influence strategic product development. The user group is open to all active QUMAS customers.

Led by Dr. Joerg Stueben of Boehringer-Ingelheim, the steering committee includes 15 compliance professionals who proactively manage their companies' compliance programs while responding to dynamic regulatory and competitive and pressures. They represent different geographic regions and industries to achieve a balanced representation of viewpoints from the life sciences and financial services industries. The committee will continually have multidisciplinary representation including compliance, regulatory affairs and quality management professionals, reflecting the diverse base of the QUMAS user population.
