Release 4.6 delivers new and improved integrations with leading portals and encoders, support for various internal and external Content Distribution Networks (CDN), and enhanced failover and reliability capabilities.

Qumu Video Control Center 4.6 is a web services based software solution that seamlessly manages all video applications, and is designed to integrate with and leverage existing video, storage and distribution hardware and software infrastructure. Specific enhancements include:

--  Enhanced CDN and Distribution Support -- Qumu Video Control Center 4.6
    enables customers to manage live and on-demand video content across
    multiple distribution topologies. Simultaneously managing distribution to
    multicast servers, internal CDNs, and external CDN service providers
    through a single platform, the Qumu Video Control Center allows customers
    to expand the reach of their message without adding complexity to the
    publishing process.  With the addition of support for Akamai's iCDN,
    enhancements to Qumu's MediaNet CDN, and new audience management
    capabilities, customers have more options available for reaching their
    viewers.
    
--  Enhanced Encoder Integrations -- Qumu has expanded its encoder support
    portfolio and can now remotely control encoders from industry leading
    vendors such as VBrick, ViewCast, and Envivio, in addition to remotely
    managing Microsoft Windows Media Encoder or Real Producer sessions.
    
--  Comprehensive Portal Support -- Release 4.6 provides more flexibility
    in how live and on-demand programs are presented to viewers.  An enhanced
    Program Browser allows users to more quickly and easily find the right
    presentation or video.  Release 4.6 also enables customers to more easily
    publish video to their existing Microsoft SharePoint 2007 portal and
    provides support for Firefox on Windows.
    
--  Enhanced Failover and Reliability -- Release 4.6 offers expanded
    capabilities for defining and managing failover for both encoding and
    distribution.  By supporting encoder groupings and multi-CDN distribution,
    single points of failure can be eliminated from critical live events.
