Qumulo Recognized as a CRN 2016 Emerging Vendor Second Year in a Row

Company Honored for Continued Success and Excellence in IT Channel Innovation

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2016) -   Qumulo, the leader in data-aware scale-out NAS, today announced that it has been named a CRN 2016 Emerging Vendor for the second year in a row. The annual list recognizes standout companies that are shaping the future of the IT channel by way of unique technological innovations. Additionally, it serves as a resource for solution providers looking to expand their portfolios with cutting-edge technology.

"Being a 100% percent channel-centric technology company, we are honored to be recognized by CRN as an Emerging Vendor for the second consecutive year," said Brett Campbell, VP of sales. "We pride ourselves on our continued commitment to serving our customers and helping our channel partners succeed by providing them with the tools they need to build their businesses."

Since exiting stealth in March 2015, Qumulo has amassed over 10 industry awards for its leadership, product innovation, and commitment to the channel. Channel-specific awards the company has won include the CRN 2016 Channel Chiefs, 2016 ChannelE2E 100, and CRN 2015 Emerging Vendor.

The CRN Emerging Vendors award win highlights what has been a banner year for Qumulo, which announced $32.5 million in Series C funding last month. The funds will allow Qumulo to achieve its continued goal of bringing next generation scale-out NAS software to the modern enterprise. This most recent funding round brings Qumulo's total funding to date to $100 million.

Earlier this year, Qumulo announced an upgrade to its flagship software product and hardware line. Qumulo Core 2.0 and its three new QC-Series hybrid storage appliances -- the QC40, QC104, and QC260, continue to provide customers with an agile platform that can readily be refreshed with the newest hardware for maximum performance, capacity and cost benefits.

Qumulo Core is currently in production in commercial high performance computing and large-scale unstructured data environments, with customers including Ant Farm, Atomic Fiction, Blind Studios, Densho, Eight Solutions, FotoKem, MSG Networks, Sinclair Oil, Sportvision, TELUS Studios, UConn Health, University of Utah Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, ZOIC Studios, Vaisala, and many more.

The Emerging Vendors list will be featured in the August 2016 issue of CRN and online at www.crn.com/emergingvendors.
