Quorum Focused on Scalability to Meet Sales Demand

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 13, 2008) - Quorum Information Technologies Inc. (Quorum) (TSX VENTURE:QIS) announced today that as part of its 2008 Strategic Plan, the company is in the midst of a business and operations transformation planning process designed to improve the Corporation's ability to take advantage of accelerated growth opportunities that are available to the Company. The process is being led by Michael (Mick) Podovilnikoff, a senior executive with extensive experience working with high-tech mid-sized companies and major corporations, most recently Telus, one of Canada's leading telecommunications companies. The objective of the planning process is to streamline Quorum's business processes to become more efficient, scalable and profitable.

Quorum has 243 dealership customers in North America, including 54 in the U.S. The additional opportunity in the North American dealership management system (DMS) market is significant and with increased efficiencies and scalability, Quorum can capitalize on the opportunities.

"Quorum's implementation process has been refined to the point where we are very effective at bringing new customers onto our system. As we respond to the Company's sales growth, we are looking to improve the efficiency and scalability of the process. The business transformation team has come up with numerous innovative ideas, many of which will also make the process more effective and increase customer satisfaction as well," said Maury Marks, President and CEO of Quorum.

"It is an exciting time because all of the pieces of our current strategy appear to be coming together - sales growth is being fuelled by a major competitor leaving the GM IDMS program, the deployment of multiple advanced integration points under the GM IDMS program, and the opening of the Chrysler market, "stated Maury Marks. "Working with Mick to transform key areas of our company is critical to our ability to meet a higher level of sales demand."
