Quosal Posts Continued Sales and Market Growth in Q2

Major New Accounts, Partner Channel Expansion Highlight Quarter

WOODINVILLE, WA--(Marketwire - July 12, 2010) - Quosal, Inc., provider of the Quosal software platform for the preparation, delivery and management of sales quotes and proposals, reported strong sales in Q2 2010, with continued triple-digit growth over the same period in 2009. The exceptional growth was sparked by expansion of its partner markets and the deployment of major enterprise accounts.

"Quosal continues to outperform our expectations," said Kent McNall, CEO. "We've made great progress on all fronts, especially in customer satisfaction and the adoption rate of Quosal and Order Porter, our market-leading online quote delivery and execution platform. Revenues have increased across all product lines, including our subscription-based SaaS offerings, and we've expanded worldwide installations in North America, the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Australia."

Much of the company's growth comes in the wake of several enterprise license accounts and deployments, such as Staples, Inc., an international retailer. Headquartered in Framingham, MA., Staples is the world's largest office supply store, with more than 2000 locations worldwide.

"We're very pleased that Staples selected Quosal. Quosal's scalability and flexibility in deployment makes our platform a great fit for organizations of all sizes," McNall said. "Moreover, besides quote and proposal automation, the business experience of our key team members in areas such as retail and e-commerce lends itself well to supporting enterprise multi-channel clients such as Staples."

Quosal also made critical inroads within partner application channels, including Salesforce.com, and ConnectWise. "Each of our partner product integrations and user communities represent tremendous potential for growth," McNall said. "We have created many deep integrations with leading CRM and business operations platforms. In Q2, our Salesforce.com user base experienced terrific growth, as did our ConnectWise user base. An important goal for us in Q3 is to both build on the partnerships we've established and move into new partner territory. We will be making additional announcements on this front in the first weeks of Q3."

The company also deployed its first Apple iPad-friendly quoting applications late in the 2nd quarter, leveraging the flexibility of its Order Porter platform to create graphical interfaces for various types of electronic quote documents.

"The iPad is a perfect form factor for real-time quoting with Order Porter," McNall said. "Using their iPads and Order Porter, sales reps can quickly create a quote or proposal and immediately present it for review while sitting with their clients. We expect the combination of the iPad and Order Porter to be a real advantage for sales professionals."

In addition to overall revenue and customer account growth, the company has experienced growth in several other categories, including:

  • SaaS subscriptions
  • SQL-Azure hosting subscriptions
  • Etilize subscription renewals
  • Order Porter monthly subscriptions
  • Professional Services revenue
  • Key competitor replacements

Quosal also announced numerous product enhancements during the quarter:

  • Day 1 Support and significant enhancements for ConnectWise 2010 Phase 3.
  • Personal Videos in Order Porter, allowing sales reps to attach a video to their quotes.
  • Direct video support in the Quosal Knowledge Base.
  • Significant expansion of Quosal's integration with Microsoft Office.
  • New advanced editors and custom scripting for Order Porter.
  • New support for CDW Price Lookup and Supercom, a major distributor of computer and electronics products.
  • Extensive performance optimizations.

Quosal can be deployed as an installed application or as an on-demand service. Licensing starts at $650, which includes the first year of support and upgrades. SaaS licensing is $40 per user per month, which also includes all support and upgrades.
