QWiPS Assembles Senior Management Team

Social Voice™ Platform Hires Industry Veterans to Expand Operations

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 7, 2011) - Social Voice™ platform QWiPS ( announced today the hiring of three experienced executives, Joanna Sammartino Bailey, Richard Batka and Brian Hamilton, to further drive the company's rapid growth.

QWiPS is capitalizing on the growing recognition of voice's ability to add emotion, personality and authenticity to the social web. From the company's iPhone app or website users can voice-caption photos, voice tag Tweets and Facebook posts, apply filters and effects, add audio emoticons to SMS, create and share threaded voice conversations, and more. These hires allow QWiPS to keep up with the building demand for its services from a wide range of partners who want to integrate voice into their digital efforts.

Richard Batka joins QWiPS as CTO, bringing deep technical and managerial expertise to the team. Batka is an industry veteran having held positions at global leaders Microsoft, Thomson Reuters, Symantec, and others. He has advised governments, military, and Fortune 100 clients on application design, mobile application design (iPhone/Android/Blackberry), data center strategy, storage, policy/compliance, large data management, cloud/virtualization, and enterprise information security.

Joanna Sammartino Bailey joins as Managing Director, Brands and Agencies. She was previously SVP, East Coast Managing Director at Publicis' Moxie Interactive, which handled digital for Nestle, Verizon, and others. Prior to that Bailey was SVP, Managing Partner for Beyond Interactive, where she managed high profile clients including P&G and GSK. Her experience in developing and implementing successful digital engagement strategies is critical as QWiPS partners more and more with consumer brands who want to use social voice to create richer connections with their audiences.

Brian Hamilton joins as Managing Director. He was most recently Founder and CEO of CurvSports, a company that works with celebrities to build their social media strategies and audiences. Hamilton's sports and entertainment experience will help QWiPS realize its potential for strengthening connections between celebrities, athletes, musicians, politicians and their fans.

"A spoken Qwip is more personal and authentic than a Tweet or Facebook post, allowing influencers to create deeper connections with every social post," says Hamilton. "That is what is so compelling about working with QWiPS. The idea that celebrities can capitalize on this rapidly growing market via QWiPS' Premium Virtual Voice platform -- with insider stories and never-before-heard anecdotes told in the authentic voices of the celebrities themselves is something to get excited about."

"The social web is exploding with billions of conversations, messages and shares exchanged every day, but the power of voice is still missing from that equation," said Peter Grossman, CEO, QWiPS. "We aim to solve that with our Social Voice™ platform, and Richard, Joanna and Brian are seasoned executives who bring the expertise and knowledge we need to partner with well-known brands, agencies, publishers, platforms and public figures interested in adding the power of Social Voice™ to their digital, social and ecommerce strategies."
