Raceweek Edmonton Organizers Have Announced a Programming Change to the Event Line-up

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - June 28, 2011) - Raceweek Edmonton organizers have announced a programming change to the event line-up. The soap box derby, previously scheduled for this Sunday, July 3, is moving to Sunday July 17 from 10 am to 12 noon at Victoria Park Hill.

"Moving the date of this event is important to the overall focused programming of Race Week Edmonton. Among the many great reasons, is the ability to give an exciting family-focused kickoff to Race Week." said Richard Skermer, executive director of Race Week Edmonton.

The move has also allowed additional elements to be added to the event which will make it even more exciting for all involved.

Participants in the soap box derby will be racing down Victoria Park Hill starting at 10am. Individuals who are interested can participate by entering an approved soap box car kit, available from the Alberta Aviation Museum.
