Rachel Roy & Enrou Introduce the Love Bomb Collection

Partnership Creates Jewelry From Bomb Fragments to Give Back

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 14, 2016) -  Enrou, the social enterprise for socially conscious shopping, today announced its partnership with designer Rachel Roy and her ongoing charitable initiative, Kindness Is Always Fashionable. Together, Enrou and Roy collaborated on the limited edition Love Bomb collection. The collection was inspired and created for Roy's January 15th birthday to celebrate giving back.

The first of Enrou's designer collaborations, this limited edition collection establishes Enrou as the ultimate destination to search and discover ethical fashion online. Featuring two unique pieces, the Love Bomb collection is made from Vietnam War era bomb fragments, crafted by Laotian artists. Each piece promotes entrepreneurship and community development. Both Enrou and Roy strive to provide opportunities where product purchases lead to impact and purpose.

The Love Bomb collection includes:

  • Love Bomb Handlet, retail $98. The handmade Love Bomb Handlet is a beautiful reminder of love and purpose worn across your hand. The triangle pendant made from bombs dropped in Laos symbolizes the three elements of social responsibility: people, planet, and purpose.
  • Love Bomb Bodychain, retail $148. This intricate and delicate handmade piece of jewelry makes for the perfect accessory to wrap around your body. The triangle emblem made from bombs dropped in Laos is placed in the center of the chain to be draped across the heart as a simple reminder of the love poured into every piece.

"Partnering with Rachel Roy to be part of the Kindness is Always Fashionable initiative is the perfect way to kick off 2016," says Enrou cofounder and CEO, Ann Wang. "As Enrou grows and continues to evolve, we look to collaborate with brands that share our vision and excite our audiences -- Rachel is a huge supporter in providing work and entrepreneurial opportunities -- together, we wanted to create beautiful and meaningful products that captured 'style' and 'story' all in one."

Rachel Roy says, "Taking what was once intended for hate and fashioning it into wearable art that not only benefits artisans but clears land of dangerous mines is a story that I had to tell in partnership with Enrou. With tenacity, love can accomplish miraculous deeds. I choose to change the direction of hate by celebrating life and love."

The Love Bomb collection will generate approximately 300 hours of dignified work for Peacebomb artisans in Laos and 1,500 square meters of land cleared of mines in collaboration with jewelry company Article 22. In addition, 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the Love Bomb collection will be donated to The Girl Rising Fund, which directs donations to girls' education program. The Girl Rising Fund is operated by the Tides Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Donations to the Girl Rising Fund are distributed to NGO partners to improve the lives of girls around the world.

Enrou is the resource where consumers can discover quality handmade products in fashion, accessories, home, décor and other lifestyle items that give opportunity to its makers and foster the betterment of community development around the world. Enrou's online marketplace is more than just its products -- it's the products' stories of the people who made them -- forging a personal connection between buyer and maker.

The Love Bomb collection is exclusively available at Enrou.co (http://lovebomb.enrou.co) starting January 15th.
