Radcliff, Ky. Police Department to Enhance Policing Services With New World Systems' Public Safety Software

TROY, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 3, 2005 -- New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for the public sector, announced Radcliff, Ky. Police Department signed a contract valued at approximately $700,000 for its Aegis®/MSP Public Safety software and services.

Currently, the Radcliff Police Department is using an obsolete solution and is looking forward to implementing New World's cutting-edge technology. Using a federal grant, the department licensed New World's CAD, Records Management, Mobile Computing and several additional modules.

"After 17 years in the business and looking at various CAD software and vendors, I am happy with our decision to go with New World," said Communications Director Jeff Hale, Radcliff Police Department. "The software will help make my job easier, along with everyone else's in the department."

The flexibility of New World's Windows software allows system users the option to complete tasks their own way. For example, a unit can be dispatched using the command line, dragging the unit and dropping it at the scene on the dispatch screen, or using a mouse.

"Mobile Computing is a key component of this project," said Hale. "There will be wireless connectivity between officers and dispatchers, and officers and Records Management, which will provide critical information to the field and help increase safety."

Windows technology was necessary for the department. "It is a familiar and easy to use platform, which is what we want," said Hale. "It will be easy for us to learn as well as new hires."

New World's Aegis/MSP solution was developed in-house using proven Microsoft technology, including industry standard Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000 database. The software will help 38 sworn officers, nine communications personnel, and six civilians enhance services to approximately 22,000 citizens in the City and respond to 18,500 calls for service a year.
