Radiant Announces the Appointment of Sam Ketcham to the Board; US Cable and Telecom Veteran Joins as an Independent Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 7, 2005) - Radiant Communications Corp. ("Radiant") (TSX VENTURE:RCX), the largest organization in Canada focused exclusively on providing IP-based data communications and Internet services to the business market, today announced that Sam Ketcham has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Ketcham brings valuable experience in the US cable and telecom markets having helped build Liberty Cable of New York, the first company to overbuild the cable operator Time Warner, and the first to offer video-dial-tone services in a joint venture with the local telephone provider. Mr. Ketcham is a graduate of Tuft's University in Boston. He is currently the Vice-President of Administration for West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd., and serves as Vice-Chair of the Vancouver Art Gallery and as an executive member of Forintek, Canada's Wood Products Research Institute.

As a new Board appointment Mr. Ketcham will be granted options in the capital of the Company to purchase up to 75,000 common shares from treasury at an exercise price of $0.27 per common share vesting over three years and expiring on June 30, 2010. These options were granted pursuant to the Company's incentive stock option plan, under which a maximum of 3,522,313 common shares are reserved for issuance.
