Radiant Sage and Radiological Associates of Sacramento Partner to Form Impact Corelab, Inc.

Together Companies Provide Transparency and Control to Clinical Trial Sponsors

BELMONT, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 29, 2011) - Radiant Sage LLC, a provider of on-demand Clinical Trial Image Management Solutions, today announced that as a result of its partnership with Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS), a 93-year-old provider of radiological and clinical imaging services, the two companies have formed Impact Corelab, Inc. This new entity was created to provide oncology and neurology trial sponsors imaging corelab services with in-depth clinical radiology expertise and complete transparency and control over their clinical imaging trials.

"By combining Radiant Sage's robust clinical trial image management technology platform with the in-depth clinical radiology expertise of RAS, Impact Corelab is perfectly positioned to redefine clinical imaging corelab services through innovations in technology, transparency in process and integration of world-class medical expertise," said Benjamin Franc, acting CEO and director at Impact Corelab. "Through the Radiant Sage and RAS partnership, we have the technology and expertise to solve the challenges of clinical trial sponsors who have found clinical trial imaging vendors to be inflexible, expensive and inefficient."

Through the partnership with Radiant Sage and RAS, Impact Corelab offers comprehensive, one-stop clinical trial imaging services that include: trial design and management consisting of site, study, reader and data management; clinical imaging science; regulatory services; and a comprehensive integrated technology platform to support them. Its services enable clinical trial sponsors to make faster decisions resulting in smaller sample sizes, shorter trials, quicker turnaround times, and access to global resources -- ultimately delivering significant cost savings for the sponsors. In addition to the financial savings, Impact Corelab also offers the needed assurance of quality, reproducibility and risk management.

"With this partnership, we have achieved our objective of meeting our customers' requirement for a one-stop-shop by offering a technology solution from Radiant Sage and full-fledged imaging corelab services from Impact Corelab. Ours is the only technology platform that was exclusively built for clinical imaging trials with design and feature inputs from top sponsors and can handle the key clinical imaging corelab processes from data acquisition to data submission on one integrated platform with the required tools for full operational control," said Mallik Penamatsa, COO of Radiant Sage and Impact Corelab board member. "With our cloud computing solution, clinical trial sponsors will experience rapid trial starts, greater control, easy collaboration with readers and scientists around the globe, as well as seamless integration of images into the overall trial data."

"We have been in the business for almost a century and have countless long-standing relationships with clinical sites throughout the world," said Mark Leibenhaut, M.D., M.B.A., immediate past-president of RAS. "Through our involvement in more than 120 clinical trials in the past decade alone, we are able to offer real and pertinent support with tools, training and real-time access to expert clinical radiological expertise to the team at Impact Corelab."
