The session will be held June 27 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in room 103b. It will specifically focus on the key challenges facing trial sponsors in collecting, processing, collaborating, distributing, and archiving clinical images. The panelists will identify specific approaches available to address some of these challenges and share a case study on how a cloud-based clinical trial image management solution has helped a top clinical trial sponsor globally manage its images.

Moderated by Thangaraj, the panelists will include:

  • Kris Kokomoor, MSc, Associate Director, Clinical Informatics and Innovation for Pfizer Inc. who will discuss "Cloud-based Medical Image Management in Clinical Trials".
  • Ola Strandberg, MSc, Vendor Liaison Officer at The Uppsala Monitoring Centre (Sweden) will present on "Cloud Services for 21st Century WHO DRUG Coding and Best Practices".
  • David Plante, MS, Director of Information Technology, Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. who will share his expertise in "Conceptual Model of the Use of Tablets and Cloud Services to Conduct a Clinical Trial".
