Radiant to Dismantle the Oslo Deicing Facility

PORT COLBORNE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 31, 2007) - Radiant Energy Corporation (TSX VENTURE:RDT) ("Radiant" or the "Company") developer and marketer of InfraTek®, the environmentally friendly, patented, infrared pre-flight aircraft deicing system, announced it will most likely dismantle the facility in Oslo, Norway.

In 2005, the Company undertook a two year test program with a company providing deicing services the Oslo Airport to operate an InfraTek facility at the Oslo Airport. Due to modifications required to operate the system on propane and other modifications and improvements, the test period did not commence until late in the second deicing season. Prior to the system modifications being completed, the deicing operator conducted a limited number of tests in a manner that did not meet long established, industry standard, infrared aircraft deicing procedures, which have been adopted by all of Radiant's other satisfied domestic and international airline customers. At the end of the test period the deicing operator decided not to extend the test period. Under the terms of the test agreement, if the operator did not want to continue using the system, Radiant and the operator must remove the system. The Company is exploring options to keep the InfraTek facility at the Oslo Airport, but, at this point in time operations of the InfraTek facility at the Oslo Airport are not likely. The Company is in the process of determining the costs to remove and to put the system in storage. The Company is also assessing the financial impact on the Company. The Company will commence discussions with the secured lenders in Norway on the repayment and settlement of the debt secured against the facility.

Radiant trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (symbol RDT). The InfraTek Deicing System is the only FAA-approved for use, non-glycol based alternative to the conventional pre-flight ground deicing process. InfraTek offers savings to airports and airlines by reducing treatment costs and by significantly reducing the negative environmental impact of glycol.
