Radiology Oncology Systems, Inc. Launches SafeCT-29(R) Program to Bring CT Scanners in the U.S. into NEMA XR-29 Compliance

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - September 12, 2016) - Radiology Oncology Systems (R.O.S.) of San Diego, CA and Medic Vision Imaging Solutions (Medic Vision) have signed a multi-year agreement whereby R.O.S. will become an authorized seller of Medic Vision's proprietary SafeCT-29® product line. SafeCT-29® is the only FDA cleared, NEMA XR-29 solution on the market today.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be able to offer an affordable solution for NEMA XR-29 compliance to thousands of clinics and hospitals in the U.S.," expressed Ryan Schock, VP of Imaging at R.O.S. "We expect this product to extend the useful life of many systems and to provide our customers with significant value over time."

The Protecting Access to Medicare Act, known as PAMA, enacted in 2014, requires Advanced Diagnostic Imaging suppliers and hospitals providing CT Scanner services to ensure their CT equipment meets the safety requirements outlined under the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) XR-29 Standards. R.O.S. estimates that two to three thousand CT Scanners in the U.S. do not comply with these requirements.

Medic Vision announced last week that Philips Medical Systems, one of the leading manufacturers of CT and PET/CT scanners in the US, is now officially recommending SafeCT-29® to customers with non-compliant CT and PET/CT scanners.

Eyal Aharon, CEO of Medic Vision, remarked, "We are happy to have R.O.S. join our team in order to address one of the top concerns of medical imaging operators today."

John Vano, President of R.O.S. commented, "Owners of non-compliant CT Scanners in the U.S. still have three months before the 15% Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement penalties take effect, and we expect that the demand for SafeCT-29®, the only FDA cleared solution, will greatly increase. We believe Medic Vision has the best solution currently available and we are excited to be a part of the mission to help imaging centers become compliant."
