Radiospire's AirHook™ Technology Receives HDCP Certification From Digital Content Protection

Industry's Highest Bandwidth Wireless Connectivity Solution Certified as an Approved Retransmission Technology

HUDSON, MA--(Marketwire - November 27, 2007) - Radiospire Networks today announced that its AirHook™ technology has been approved for use with digital content protected by the High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) specification. AirHook technology, the industry's highest bandwidth wireless HD connectivity solution, has been certified as an approved retransmission technology by Digital Content Protection, LLC (DCP), the administrator of the HDCP specification.

Developed by Intel Corporation to protect digital entertainment content across the DVI/HDMI interface, the HDCP specification provides a robust, cost-effective and transparent method for transmitting and receiving digital entertainment content to DVI/HDMI-compliant digital displays.

"Digital content protection is a challenge for new transmission technologies," said Stephen Balogh, president of Digital Content Protection, LLC. "Maintaining the quality and integrity of high-definition content is imperative to successful HD wireless connectivity in the home. Radiospire's AirHook solution meets the requirements for HDCP content protection and will provide consumers with an excellent alternative to bulky cables."

Radiospire is the first company to break the bandwidth barriers that have inhibited other wireless solutions from providing the same high-quality HD video that A/V cables offer. Built specifically to deliver high-definition video, the AirHook chipset utilizes the widest bandwidth (1.7 GHz of unlicensed spectrum) and delivers the highest throughput (1.6 Gbps) of any product on the market to allow for the transmission of pure, uncompressed audio and video.

"Wireless connectivity has become increasingly important to consumers," said Paul Powers, CEO of Radiospire. "Our AirHook technology is the first and only solution purpose-built for high-definition video, and we are excited to take the next step in bringing it to our customers. HDCP approval allows them reassurance of the security and integrity of Radiospire's solution."
