Radvision and Pantech Team to Deliver LTE Video-Enabled VEGA Mobile Phones Featuring Radvision's BEEHD Video Client

Radvision, an Avaya Company, and Pantech, a leading LTE mobile phone manufacturer, today announced that they have teamed to deliver VEGA mobile phones with high quality video calling capabilities. Pantech, one of Korea's leading manufacturers of mobile handsets, is using Radvision's BEEHD Video Client Framework to design and develop video-enabled Android-based LTE mobile handsets.

Pantech is using the BEEHD Video Client Framework to develop an LTE handset based on the Google Android operating system, running on Qualcomm chipsets. The BEEHD Client Framework is equipped with easy-to-use, high-level APIs, an optimized media engine, patented video quality technology, flexible signaling capabilities, and innovative optional features that reduce time-to-market while optimizing interoperability. The BEEHD Client Framework also has internal IMS/VoLTE capabilities that allow building video enabled mobile handsets that can easily run on IMS/VoLTE compliant networks.
