Rainmaker Mining Corp. Announces Appointment of New President and CEO


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb. 19, 2014) - Rainmaker Mining Corp. ("Rainmaker") (TSX VENTURE:RMG) is pleased to announce R. D. (Rick) Patmore has joined the company as President and CEO, effective immediately. He will also join the Board of Directors.

Mr. Patmore has over 35 years of extensive, hands on field, operational, and financial experience as a senior manager, executive, and business owner in the oil and gas service industry. He brings a vast array of knowledge, skill, and expertise in all facets of oil field services, and has successfully negotiated the sale and purchase of several companies in this industry. Mr. Patmore has a proven track record of successfully building companies that experience substantial growth in size and market capitalization that are subsequently bought out by large TSX-listed companies. Precision Drilling and Bonus Well services are two such companies that have purchased assets developed by Mr. Patmore.

Mr. Patmore was president of Wellco Energy Services Trust where he grew the company from 75 employees to 625 employees and increased the market cap from $25 million to $160 million. Wellco was was acquired by Peak Energy and later acquired by Clean Harbors (NYSE) for $200 million. Mr. Patmore is currently Chairman of the Board of Dynamic Directional Drilling another such company that has experienced massive growth under his watch.

Throughout his career Mr. Patmore has played a pivotal role in the start-up, growth, and sale of many companies. Mr. Patmore has cultivated a solid network of industry contacts and has gained comprehensive knowledge of the oil and gas services, transportation, heavy equipment and rental sectors. These attributes are optimal to lead and build Rainmaker into a fully integrated player in the burgeoning North American Frac Sand space.

Mr. Patmore has worked hard to earn a solid reputation in the oil patch through his entrepreneurial spirit and a work ethic, which has extended from the field to the boardroom. He has served on the Board of six companies ranging in size from 10 to 625 employees over the past ten years and is currently Chairman of the Board of a directional drilling company.

Concurrently, Harvey Smith has resigned from his position as President and as a Director of the company. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Smith for his contributions to Rainmaker.
