Radio audience figures released show 90% of UK population listens to the radio

According to RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd), which today releases official radio listening data for Quarter 2, 2005, 90% of the UK population listens to the radio

The number of people tuning in to their radios in Quarter 2, 2005 was 44,608,000 - up 1.3% quarter on quarter (Q2, 2005 vs.Q1, 2005) and up 1.6 % year on year (Q2, 2005 vs. Q2 2004).

(This weekly reach figure is the number of people (adults aged 15+) in the UK who listened to a radio station for at least five minutes in the course of an average week during Quarter 2, 2005).
