Ramtron Appoints Erik Wood as Director of Business Development

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwire - May 29, 2012) - Ramtron International Corporation (NASDAQ: RMTR), a leading developer and supplier of low-energy nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory (F-RAM) and integrated semiconductor products, today announced the appointment of Erik Wood as director of business development, reporting to Ramtron's vice president of worldwide marketing, Scott Emley. Mr. Wood brings to Ramtron 17 years of solution sales and high-tech market development experience with deep experience in the defense/aerospace, supply chain, transportation, oil and gas, healthcare, identification and security markets. At Ramtron, he is responsible for driving the development of strategic business opportunities for Ramtron's F-RAM-enabled semiconductor solutions.

Before joining Ramtron, Mr. Wood served as vice president of sales for Revere Security Corporation in Dallas, TX, a cryptographic security solutions and services company in the fast-growing machine-to-machine device arena. At Revere, Wood established target application markets, developed key technology partnership ecosystems, and secured top-tier channel resellers to drive revenue. Prior to Revere Security, Wood was vice president of business development for Hi-G-Tek Inc., in Rockville, MD, where he led sales efforts that doubled year-over-year sales growth. He was also responsible for securing sales channel expansion with strategic partners that included NCR, L-3, Qualcomm, Motorola, and Boeing, among others. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wood served as vice president and general manager of Symbol Technologies where he headed up Symbol's Asia Pacific unit for EPC Gen2 RFID solutions for healthcare, transportation, government, and security markets. Symbol was later acquired by Motorola and today is a leading UHF RFID device maker.
