Rand Group Paints Clients Into the Picture at Monet Exhibit

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - November 07, 2014) - Business leaders from the Houston region enjoyed a private viewing this past Wednesday of one of the world's master painters in the momentous exhibition underway at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

At least 180 guests of Rand Group waded through torrential storms on Nov. 5 to view the recently unveiled Monet and the Siene: Impressions of a River exhibit, hosted by Rand Group.

"This exhibit is a significant example of the thriving visual and performing arts that helps make Houston a great community to live and work," said Ron Rand, President and CEO of Rand Group, which assisted in underwriting the exhibit.

The exhibit opened Oct. 26 and continues through to February 1, 2015. This marks the first time Monet's entire 28-work series, made up of 51 pieces, has been brought together on loan from museums around the world to form a single exhibition.

"True achievement is always inspiring," Rand said. "Monet did most of this work back in the late 1880s when he was at the height of his power, and to have these pieces here in Houston provides an enriching and inspiring experience for anyone who takes the time to look at what he accomplished."

Guests heard from curator Helga Aurisch, who shared the MFAH's vision for the exhibit. Following the reception, the group enjoyed intimate tours of the master's works with commentary provided by the museum's docents. Adding to the experience was music performed by the Fidelis Quartet, a string quartet comprised of Houston Symphony musicians, led by Rodica Gonzalez.

As a professional services firm, Rand Group provides MFAH with IT support services as part of its ongoing commitment to the arts and culture in the Houston area.
