RENO, NV--(Marketwire - Aug 3, 2012) - Ranger Gold Corp. (OTCBB: RNGC) is pleased to provide an update on its Truman property located in Mineral County, Nevada.

Ranger Gold has received notice from the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) that a scoping study is underway for the Truman Property. The scoping study designates 30 days for responses from the public.

The Truman project consists of 91 unpatented claims covering 1,080 acres in Mineral County, Nevada. The project is in close proximity to significant gold deposits such as the Goldfield District and the Comstock District. Ranger's previous exploration activity on Truman included a mapping and sampling program of approximately 4,200 feet of historic adits and stopes.
