RapidFire Tools Now Offers Its "Deep-Dive" Inspector(TM) Appliance as an Economical Software Download

RapidFire Tools Has Implemented a New, More Convenient and More Affordable Delivery Model for Its Popular Inspector Appliance, Allowing MSPs to Garner Larger Margins Through "Deep Dive" Network Assessments

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Mar 9, 2016) - RapidFire Tools announced today it has launched a new software delivery option for Inspector™, the powerful "deep-dive" internal IT assessment and reporting appliance for the company's best-selling IT assessment tool set, Network Detective. This software appliance can be purchased via a new, lower monthly licensing agreement for Inspector.

Effective immediately, RapidFire Tools is offering Inspector in the form of a software appliance that managed service providers can download and install on their own dedicated server -- or as a virtual machine attached to their clients' networks -- for just $99 per month. An additional everyday discount is available for pre-payment of the annual subscription fee.

Besides the new lower cost, an added benefit of the new delivery option is the ability for an MSP to easily spin-up and remotely deploy Inspectors to more of their clients.

"To get the greatest value out of this powerful tool, MSPs will want to permanently attach one Inspector to each of their major clients' networks, and then take advantage of the remote scheduling and automatic report generation capabilities built into each appliance," said Michael Mittel, CEO, RapidFire Tools. "Regularly scheduled internal vulnerability scans and network change reports are essential for maintaining on-going security. More importantly, regular reporting and communications are central to retaining hard-won clients," he continued. "From that perspective, each Inspector is worth its weight in gold."

Prior to this release, Inspector was only available on pre-configured physical servers owned and supplied by RapidFire Tools. While this plug and play approach is convenient and still available, there are many situations when the added cost of the hardware is unnecessary, slows down deploy times, and is more efficiently handled though deployment as a virtual appliance.

"We've learned that many MSPs already have access to servers attached to their clients' networks with the capacity to run Inspector as a virtual appliance," noted RapidFire Tools chief developer, Win Pham. "If that's the case, they can now pay less for their Inspectors and immediately download and remotely deploy them."

Pham continued, "For our customers who want the convenience of a plug and play system, we still offer an option for them to include a pre-configured server in their Inspector subscription for an additional fee, and we'll ship them a small form factor hardware appliance that's ready to go."

Regardless of the delivery mechanism, the Inspector appliance is a powerful IT assessment and security tool that is used by thousands of MSPs to generate critical reports needed to provide comprehensive managed services, including Layer 2/3 network discovery and documentation, and Internal Vulnerabilities scans.

The Layer 2/3 reports include a high resolution Layer 2/3 Diagram TIFF file (a full diagram of network connectivity of routers, switches, servers, workstations, printers and other end points), suitable for large format printing; a Layer 2/3 Diagram Report (a Network diagram broken into quadrants); a Layer 2/3 Detail Report (documents network connectivity down to the switch port level); a Layer 2/3 Detail Excel Export (an Excel version of the Layer 2/3 Detail Report); and a Layer 2/3 Diagram in VISIO output that can be edited by the MSP.

The Internal Vulnerabilities report reveals critical security holes and vulnerabilities that would be exploited if a hacker penetrates the network -- or if it is hacked by employees or other "insiders" who gain access to the network.

All reports generated through Network Detective are fully brandable with the MSP's corporate logo, colors and a wide choice of images and formats, helping the MSP to deliver client-facing documents with the highest level of professionalism.

Inspector and with the entire Network Detective product line is available for purchase via subscription online at the company's website: www.rapidfiretools.com.
