RapidMiner Appoints Michael Doane as Head of Channels and Alliances of the Americas Region

Industry Veteran to Provide Deep Predictive Analytics Expertise to Drive Key Partnerships and Accelerate Channel Growth via the RapidMiner Partner Network

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2014) - Pioneering predictive analytics leader RapidMiner today announced it has appointed Michael Doane as the company's head of channels and alliances of the Americas region. Doane brings more than two decades of channel experience to the company and will be responsible for spearheading RapidMiner's partner network. In this role, he will be responsible for growing the company's network of resellers, distributors and partners in the Americas. Responsibilities include increasing revenue growth through the management and expansion of RapidMiner's network of systems integrator and consulting partners, extending RapidMiner's presence via resellers, further developing RapidMiner's OEM channel and managing strategic technology alliances.

With more than 20 years of experience, Doane is a veteran channel sales and alliance executive with a proven record for delivering revenue-focused results with systems integrators, resellers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM), technology companies and referral partners. Previously, Doane was the director of North American channel sales and the global relationship director for IBM at SPSS, a provider of predictive analytics solutions. At SPSS, Doane was tasked with the design, implementation and launch of the reseller program in North America, where he significantly increased the company's channel pipeline and sales revenues year over year, until its acquisition by IBM. Doane has held senior management positions in sales, channel sales and alliances at companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, ecoInsight, Inc., Viewlocity, Inc, Netvendor, Inc. and E3 Corporation.
