Rare Holy Ground: By Special Arrangement With Local Mexican Authorities, Authentic, Certified Soil From Our Lady of Guadalupe Apparition Site in Mexico to be Available in USA for First Time

Revered Icon First Appeared to Peasant 500 Years Ago; Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Most Visited Catholic Site in the World (20 Million Annually) & Second Most Important Catholic Basilica After St. Peter's

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2015) - La Virgen de Guadalupe. Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mary, Mother of God. Patroness of the Americas. She is known throughout the entire world by these names.

Today, it was announced by Los Angeles-based organizers and Mexican officials that soil from the site where the (five) apparitions of Mary took place will be available to the public in the U.S. for the first time ever, by special arrangement with the responsible authorities in Mexico.

The venerated soil, through an exclusive arrangement, comes directly from the holy ground where the Virgin appeared in Mexico City and will be available in vials that are attached to silver-plated pendants, each of which is a replica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A portion of the proceeds from all sales will benefit various Catholic charities.

Icons and artwork such as these exquisite pieces are embraced and known by Catholics throughout the world as Sacramentals and for this reason are treasured as holy and special.

Each item will be accompanied by a numbered certificate of authentication issued by the notarized local Mexican authority that supervises the safe keeping of the world famous shrine, most visited holy site in all of Catholicism, and its environs.

The organizing group has commissioned famous Mexican artist, Jazzamoart (aka Francisco Javier Vazquez Estupinan), to create the fantastic pieces of jewelry. Jazzamoart, 51, is one of Latin America's premier artists whose work has been displayed in over 350 exhibitions over the past 30 years and whose sculpture is especially prominent, including a large installation on permanent exhibit in West Hollywood.

The "Necklace & Chain" will be offered for $109. It is sterling silver-plated with a silver chain. This image of La Virgen contains a vial of the holy soil embedded into the back of the pendant.

On Guadalupe's last feast day in December, The Holy Father, Pope Francis, commented, "When the image of the Virgin appeared on the tilma (garment) of Juan Diego, it was the prophecy of an embrace: Mary's embrace of all the peoples of the vast expanses of America -- the peoples who already lived there, and those who were yet to come.

St. Juan Diego, canonized in 2002 by John Paul II, was the peasant to whom Mary first appeared, in a series of five apparitions on a hilltop, from which the soil is taken, over 500 years ago.
