Ravenflow's Raven 4.0 Speeds Software Time to Market

New Version of Rapid Requirements Elicitation and Definition Solution Adds Quality Assurance Module, Enabling Faster Delivery of High Quality Applications

EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwire - March 19, 2008) - Ravenflow, the leader in rapid requirements definition software, today announced the general availability of version 4.0 of its RAVEN solution. RAVEN 4.0 introduces a new quality assurance module, RAVEN SQA, which links software requirements directly to QA and automatically generates test cases with 100 percent requirements coverage. This capability, combined with the solution's unique visual approach to collaborative requirements elicitation and definition, empowers enterprises to dramatically shorten project time to market while simultaneously improving application quality.

"Linking quality assurance to the requirements elicitation and definition process is the logical next step for the RAVEN solution," said Susan Boers, president and chief executive officer of Ravenflow. "By enabling software QA managers, who are typically under time and resource constraints, to quickly and easily generate test cases as requirements are being defined, Ravenflow is empowering project stakeholders to deliver high quality software to the market faster than ever before."

"Application time to market is the most important goal for our department," said David Mann, CIO for the Word & Brown General Agency. "With RAVEN, we have the tools to create requirements that business teams can validate more quickly then ever, which enables us to beat the clock and not only deliver exactly what the customer wants, but also deliver it fast, which is a distinct competitive advantage."

About RAVEN 4.0

The RAVEN solution for requirements elicitation and definition enables project stakeholders to quickly build consensus on requirements, reduces the time required to approve specifications, and reduces developer rework due to requirements errors. With the addition of the RAVEN SQA module, RAVEN 4.0 also enables organizations to seamlessly integrate requirements and quality assurance testing, further improving the ability of organizations to deliver high quality applications, faster. Key capabilities include:

-- Automatic Generation of Test Cases -- Test cases with 100 percent
requirements coverage are generated automatically, eliminating delays
associated with building test scenarios from scratch. Test scope and level
of detail are customizable, providing QA managers with complete control to
focus testing resources on the metrics that are most relevant, speeding
    application delivery.

-- Version control and baseline test models -- Sets of tests can be
version controlled and base lined along with their requirements assets as
part of the requirements definition process. Test cases are actively linked
with their associated requirements, so that when requirements change, test
    cases are automatically updated.

-- Export to HP Quality Center -- Complete requirements and test cases
can be automatically uploaded to HP Quality Center and other leading test
management tools, dramatically reducing test preparation time and enabling
    faster application time to market.

RAVEN 4.0 is now generally available.
