RAYMOND WEIL Announced as Official Watch Partner for the Classic BRIT Awards 2011

RAYMOND WEIL, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, is delighted to announce its status as the official watch partner for the forthcoming Classic BRIT Awards. RAYMOND WEIL has experienced four very successful years as Official Watch of The BRIT Awards that has resulted in the brand extending its association with the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

In addition to its Official watch Partner status, RAYMOND WEIL will be the sponsor of the 'Artist of the Decade' Classic BRIT Award. The awards, taking place on 12th May, will honour the previous year's success stories in classical music.

The Classic BRIT Awards, now in its twelfth year has played a major role in supporting and nurturing talent in both the core classical and crossover world. Formally 'The Classical BRIT Awards', the introduction of a new name reflects the show's ambition to embrace a more diverse range of music genres including musical theatre.

A special Limited Edition RAYMOND WEIL Maestro watch will be presented to all performers, presenters and winners during the evening.

Forming a two-hour musical spectacular, and hosted by Myleene Klass, The 2011 Classic BRIT Awards will feature some of the greatest performers in British music. A full theatrical cast from Cameron Mackintosh's Les Misérables will take to the stage with Alfie Boe in the role as Jean Valjean. Other acts include tenor Russell Watson and mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins. Making their Classic BRIT Award debut will be Il Divo, the world's most popular operatic quartet. The London Chamber Orchestra conducted by Christopher Warren Green will accompany all performers.
