Raymor Receives a Contract From DK Machine 'USA' for Metal and Ceramic Coatings

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - July 5, 2005) - Raymor Industries Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RAR) is proud to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, AP&C Advanced Powders & Coatings Inc. (AP&C) has received a contract from DK Machine for its metal and ceramic thermal spray coating services. DK Machine, a US company based in New York State, is an important manufacturer of ball valves for severe applications in different industrial sectors which necessitate high-end coatings such as those offered by AP&C.

"We are happy to add DK Machine (USA) to our list of international clients active in the aerospace and specialized industrial sectors," said Mr. Stephane Robert, President of Raymor Industries and AP&C. "As compared to the competition, our coatings are considerably superior when used in extreme abrasion, wear, corrosion and high temperature environments, which are found in aerospace and certain other industrial applications," added Mr. Robert.

AP&C offers different services for military, aerospace, aeronautical and specialized industrial sectors, including Atmospheric Plasma Spraying (APS), High Velocity Oxyfuel (HVOF), and Vacuum Plasma Spraying (VPS), a process unique in Canada. AP&C is in the running for important industrial projects underway, and also targets introducing its VPS coatings expertise in the aeronautical and aerospace sectors. As well, AP&C is currently in the qualification process to become approved suppliers for other important companies, of which large coating production volumes are expected this year.

AP&C's Thermal Spray Coatings Division projects more that CDN$4.0 million upto the second quarter of 2006 with only one shift. These revenues may increase substantially simply with the addition of a second shift.

RAYMOR INDUSTRIES INC. (TSX-V:RAR) has as its mission to become the leading Canadian developer of high technology and a producer/recycler of advanced materials and nanomaterials for high value-added applications. In November 2004, Raymor Industries created a wholly-owned, industrial subsidiary, AP&C Advanced Powders and Coatings, specializing in nanotechnology and advanced materials, and comprising four operational divisions: (1) nanotechnology products, including nano-powders, nano-coatings, and single-walled carbon nanotubes (C-SWNT) for "the applications of tomorrow"; (2) metal and ceramic coatings, which largely targets military, aeronautical, aerospace, specialized industrial, and mining applications; (3) spherical metallic powders, primarily used for biomedical and aerospace applications; and (4) net-shape forming, a component manufacturing technique used for ballistic protection and other aerospace and military applications. Raymor holds the exclusive rights to more than 20 patents throughout the world, with other patents pending.
