Raymor Receives a Delegation From NATO PA

BOISBRIAND, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 9, 2008) - Raymor Industries Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RAR), a leading developer and producer of single-walled carbon nanotubes, nanomaterials and advanced materials, receives today a delegation of twenty members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) coming from eleven NATO member countries. These delegates are member of the Sub-Committee on Energy and Environmental Security, of the Science and Technology Committee, from NATO PA. Raymor will demonstrate the benefits of its technology for the production of its advanced materials and nanomaterials.

Founded in 1955, the NATO PA serves as the consultative inter-parliamentary organisation for the North Atlantic Alliance. Bringing together members of parliaments throughout the Atlantic Alliance, the NATO PA provides an essential link between NATO and the parliaments of its member nations, helping to build parliamentary and public consensus in support of Alliance policies. At the same time, it facilitates parliamentary awareness and understanding of key security issues and contributes to a greater transparency of NATO policies. Crucially, it helps maintain and strengthen the transatlantic relationship, which underpins the Atlantic Alliance.

The Science and Technology Committee from NATO PA: From its origins in 1995, the Assembly recognized the central role of science and technology in maintaining both the security and prosperity of the nations of the Atlantic Community. It therefore considers both the military and civil implications of science and technology, and international environmental issues.

Raymor Nanotech was founded after 2005 for the production of high quality single walled carbon nanotubes (C-SWNT), with a unique patented process allows for the continuous synthesis of C-SWNT while efficiently eliminating a greenhouse gas. Raymor Nanotech is able to produce, in a continuous process, large volumes of high quality C-SWNT at a reasonable price to facilitate the full integration into commercial products. C-SWNT are unique forms of pure carbon, which are up to 100 times stronger than steel at 1/6th the weight i.e. very strong, lightweight materials. These materials have impressive electrical properties, as they can conduct electricity up to 1000 times greater than copper. C-SWNT can transfer heat up to 10 times greater than copper. Given these phenomenal properties, C-SWNT will be the technology platform for a multitude of applications, in different market such as: Aerospace, defence, energy, electronics/IT, medical, sports, telecom, automotive, consumer. According to the Freedonia Group (2007), the demand for C-SWNT will grow from US$ 600 M in 2014 to more than US$ 6.76 G in 2020.

AP&C (ISO-9001:2000) was founded in 2004 for the productions of metallic powders, including CP Ti, Ti-6Al-4V, and Nitinol, using the patented Plasma Wire Atomization (PWA) Process. This globally unique process produces a highly pure metallic powder with an exceptional sphericity. These two properties allow AP&C's metallic powders to offer the best performance for aerospace, aeronautical, biomedical and defence applications. One of the three biggest biomedical company in the world is exclusively using AP&C's titanium powder in a process which has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The demand for these metallic powders and AP&C targeted markets is growing strongly.

Raymor Aerospace (AS9100:Rev.B and ISO 9001:2000, NADCAP) was founded in 2007 to address the growing need for HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel) spray coating services on components for airplane landing gears and other commercial and military aircraft applications. With the recent acquisition of SE Techno Plus, Raymor Aerospace now offers a one-stop-shop to its aerospace and industrial sectors customers including expertise in the manufacturing, repair and precision grinding with super finishing. Raymor Aerospace also offers other coatings services such as APS (Atmospheric plasma spray), VPS (Vacuum plasma spray) for biomedical, industrial and mining applications.

Canada is home to one of the largest concentration of landing gear OEMs and subcontractors in the world. HVOF spray coating has become the standard for landing gear coatings on the latest line of new commercial aircraft, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380. HVOF is also in the process of becoming standard on older model aircraft still in production, including the Boeing 737. HVOF spray coating is the best alternative technology for hard chrome plating, and is ideal for both the coating of new components and for the repair and overhaul of worn components. Boeing foresees that the aeronautic world fleet will double over the next twenty (20) years (until 2026), which should bring a demand of 28,600 new aeronautics during this period. According to Forecast International, the worldwide market of military airplanes should increase by US$156 G between 2006 and 2015.
