RC Drilling Begins at Bravo's Signal Project in Nevada

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 12, 2006) - Bravo Venture Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BVG)(FWB:B6I) said today reverse-circulation drilling has begun at its Signal Project, one of its 13 projects (approximately 65 sq.mi.) in the Battle-Mountain/Eureka (Cortez) gold trend. The track rig is being "borrowed" for about a week from another company awaiting backlogged assays and permits, and will have to be returned before completing Bravo's anticipated 3,500m program. The rig is expected to return to Signal after about a month to complete drilling, subject to weather conditions.

The company previously announced the beginning of a mud-rotary drilling program at several of its projects (see news release dated October 10th, 2006) and is advancing several other Cortez projects to the drilling ready stage. In addition, two rigs are drilling at Homestake Ridge, British Columbia, and mechanical trenching is about to get underway at Woewodski Island in SE Alaska.

Several targets have been identified in Lower Plate rocks, which crop out at Signal. Thick zones of anomalous gold drilled by previous operators at the main target area, prior to 43-101 regulations, have been re-interpreted by Bravo's geologists based on surface mapping, sampling, and 3D modeling. Mineralization is associated with a northeasterly dipping unconformity between Mississippian clastic rocks and underlying Devils Gate Limestone.

Secondary target horizons are a basin facies of the Devils Gate Limestone, which lies within the upper portion of the Devils Gate, and the platy "yellow beds" member, which lies below the Devils Gate in the upper portion of the Simonson Dolomite. North-trending normal faults contain the highest concentrations of gold in surface samples; thus, they appear to have acted as conduits for mineralizing fluids, as has been reported at other gold deposits in the Eureka District. The north-trending normal faults have not been specifically targeted by previous drilling. Another target is an undrilled breccia body, located approximately 2,200m to the south of the main target area. Grab samples from that area contain 100's ppb to 3.0 g/t Au.

The Signal Project adjoins the western boundary of Barrick's Ruby Hill property, where the Archimedes mine is being readied for production.
