RCIO-K IA Team to Receive Prestigious Award From U.S. Army

STG Employee Among Those Honored in Win

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - August 22, 2007) - The Army Information Assurance Office announced the Eighth U.S. Army and the Regional Chief Information Office-Korea/Information Assurance (RCIO-K IA) Team as the winner of the 2007 IA Professional Award for the Most Innovative Project or Implementation by a Unit or Command. Each year, the Office recognizes the achievements of top performers across the Army's IA professional work force.

The team consists of Mr. Jeffery Wares (Team Lead), Mrs. Sharon Stairs and Mr. Wendell Moon (Project Lead). The team won for its innovative program developed to comply with the new data-at-rest and protection of personally identifiable information regulatory requirements. Mr. Moon, an STG employee, developed a comprehensive program that incorporates all Office of Management and Budget, U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of the Army directives, breaking it down into an easily implemented program.

"We are proud of Wendell's role as part of this extraordinary RCIO-K IA team," said Paul Fernandes, STG Senior Vice President, Defense Sector. "Since joining STG in 2006, Wendell has time and again exceeded both our expectations and the expectations of our customers. This is a well-deserved honor for an exceptional employee."

Mr. Moon is the STG Program Manager for the RCIO-K Information Assurance Consultant Services contract in the Republic of Korea. Mr. Moon and the RCIO-K IA Team will be officially honored at an awards luncheon on August 22 at the 2007 LandWarNet Conference, held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
