Reach for excellence - The 2006 Edition of the ARISTA- BMO Bank of Montreal Provincial Competition is launched

MONTREAL, Jan. 24 - The Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal (JCCM) launched today the 29th edition of the ARISTA - BMO Bank of Montreal Provincial Competition under the honorary presidency of Mr. Marc P. Tellier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Pages Group.

The ARISTA Competition recognizes the excellence of young Quebec executives, professionals, self-employed workers and entrepreneurs, aged from 18 to 40, from all regions of the province and in all sectors of economic activity.

"The ARISTA Competition recognizes and celebrates the talent of young business people who are shaping our future. We want to salute the leaders who are reaching for excellence by inviting them to submit their projects and accomplishments", said Mr. Tellier, honorary president of the competition. Attending the event were Mr. François Hudon, Senior Vice-president BMO Bank of Montreal, Quebec and Atlantic division, a number of former winners, and several members of the jury.

Composed of close to 40 business personalities of Québec, the jury will determine a winner in each of the following seven categories:

- Young Manager in Quebec
- Young Entrepreneur in Quebec - Small Business
- Young Entrepreneur in Quebec - Large- or Medium-Sized Business
- Young Professional in Quebec
- Young Self-Employed Worker in Quebec
- Young Socially Responsible Business Leader in Quebec
- Young International Business Leader in Quebec

The candidates have until March 3, 2006 to submit their applications. Information about the competition is available on the ARISTA website at www.concoursarista.qc.ca.

About the JCCM

The JCCM is an association of young executives, professionals, entrepreneurs and self-employed business people under the age of 40. Founded in 1931, it represents some 1,500 members, whose average age is 33, making it the largest junior chamber of commerce in North America. The JCCM is a premier meeting place for those who want to make a difference and take active part in the discussions that shape the future of society.
