For the past 37 years, the East York-Scarborough Reading Association, consisting of 26 educators from the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board, have met regularly on a volunteer basis, to plan professional development for their colleagues.

Over three thousand educators from across Canada will attend our 37th Annual Language Arts Conference on Thursday, February 21 and Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in downtown Toronto. Keynotes include Steven Page and Adrienne Clarkson. Delegates may select from over 86 sessions led by internationally known educators and authors such as Mary Bigler, Barbara Coloroso, David Sousa, Lucy Calkins, Marina Nemat and Terry Fallis.

A comprehensive and diverse programme, the conference reflects the complexity of education in the 21st Century with some sessions focussed on the use of technology and social media.
