Ready Pac Launches New Snacks for Kids

Cool Cuts® Ready Snax® Make Healthy Eating More Fun for Kids

IRWINDALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 3, 2006 --Ready Pac announced today the debut of its latest innovation, Cool Cuts® Ready Snax® grab and go convenience packs, a new addition to the already popular Ready Pac Cool Cuts® line of products developed for children. The launch of the Ready Snax line consists of two new items, bringing the Ready Pac Cool Cuts product portfolio from six to eight items. The first new item contains six, ready-to-eat, individual 2 oz packages of delicious apple slices. The second item is a variety pack, featuring two packages each of 2 to 2.25 oz fresh apples, grapes and carrots, for a total of six fun snacks per package. Compact and ready to eat, Ready Snax are ideal for lunchboxes, parties and sporting events, as well as an excellent alternative to cookies, chips or candy.

Featuring bold and colorful graphics, Ready Snax offers a delicious variety of both fruit and vegetables, an important consideration to parents since most children demand a variety of snack choices. To increase its "kid-appeal," Ready Pac will continue to leverage the use of the Looney TunesTM characters through its licensing arrangement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Set to launch in the Northeast in early March, kids, parents, teachers and coaches will soon find Bugs Bunny, Tweety, and the Tasmanian Devil featured on their favorite package of the Cool Cuts Ready Snax BRAND. For added fun, each Ready Snax six-pack will also contain a colorful educational activity card with games and trivia from your child's favorite cartoon characters. TV Guide identified Bugs Bunny as number one on its "Top 50 List of Favorite Cartoon Characters" of all time, with Tweety close behind.
