Real Estate Deed Online Recording Now Successful Nationally According to Witnesses County Recorders Switching to E-Recording in Record Numbers

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Oct 16, 2013) - Real estate deed resource and supplier,, has seen a rapid growth of real estate e-recording throughout the past two years according to recent company statistics. has seen county recorders in charge of recording real estate deeds such as quit claim deeds, warranty and easement deeds move towards allowing for e-filing. The transition to e-recording of deeds has made the filing process easier for both in-state and interstate deeds interactions. Only about 1/3 of county recorders allow for e-recording but the trend has expanded quickly and many states are changing laws and legislation to allow for online filing.

"If you are at a busy recorder's office you can spend over 45 minutes to an hour trying to file and this doesn't even include travel time," Shawn Shepherd, Co-Founder of "E-recording is not only quicker but it's also a lot safer for filers."

Once a deed is signed by both parties the deed needs to be recorded in the county the property resides. This filing makes the deed binding on other people. Shepherd believes that through a site like you can now have a real estate recorded, file stamped, and returned in less time than it would take to get through a line at a county recorder's office.

Shepherd, who has been in the real estate industry for 18 years, is especially excited for the possibilities for interstate deed recording. If a person moves away from a property they often have to return back to the area to file a deed on the property. E-recording makes it possible for individuals to transfer property from any state.

"When real estate deeds are handled on a race-to-record or first arrived basis, the time spent filing matters," said Shepherd. "In real estate deeds, time is truly of the essence."
