Realize Shows Its Christmas Spirit With Charitable Giving

NOBLESVILLE, IN--(Marketwire - Dec 19, 2011) - As Christmas nears, employees at Realize Inc. are adopting a family through the United Christmas Service, a United Way of Central Indiana program that provides food, clothing and toys to families across the region in need.

"We're fortunate," said Todd Reese, President of Realize Inc. "We know there are others who have fallen on hard times. We've been blessed, so we like to pay it forward and give back."

Based near Indianapolis, Ind., Realize Inc. creates custom rapid prototype models for clients in industries such as electronics, aerospace, medical and consumer products. Realize has donated its resources over the past several years to numerous charitable endeavors.

In particular, Reese is proud to support the automotive engineering programs at several universities, including Purdue University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Purdue Formula SAE students design and build a small race car to compete in an engineering event sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers. Realize produced a scaled down stereolithography model of Purdue's race car. The students used the model to perform wind tunnel tests and evaluate the aerodynamics of their car design.

"We really appreciate your support this year and the years past," said Purdue Formula SAE team member Tom Tarlton. "The capabilities you provide really allow us to do things we otherwise would not be able to do."

"We have also produced many intake designs for FSAE teams which they use to mount on their engines and test in an effort to maximize horsepower," Reese added. "It's very rewarding to witness the accomplishments of these passionate, hard-working future engineers, and we're just happy to be in a position to support them."

Last fall, Realize gave the Hamilton Southeastern High School Robotics Club the final $5,000 donation they needed to purchase a much needed laser engraver for their engineering program.

Founded in 1999, Realize is now one of the largest rapid prototyping companies in the Midwest. Services include Stereolithography, Cast Urethane Models, Computer Aided Design, Industrial Design and Custom Finishing and Painting.
