Realtime.co's Joao Parreira to Lead Session at HTML5 Developers Conference

Managing Server and Storage Communications for Collaborative HTML5 Apps

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 21, 2013) - Realtime.co (http://www.realtime.co), creator of the fastest Web 3.0 messaging framework, today announced that CTO João Parreira will lead a session at the HTML5 Developers Conference at San Francisco's Moscone Center on October 22, 2013. During the session titled "Building collaborative HTML5 apps using a backend-as-a-service (BaaS)," Mr. Parreira will discuss how to build scalable, collaborative HTML5 and JavaScript apps that are optimized to manage storage and server infrastructure using a real-time messaging framework. As the CTO for Realtime.co Framework, Parreira is leading a team of software engineers focused on developing powerful cloud services to enable the easiest development of real-time apps. Currently, Realtime's framework is running a BaaS powered by 800 CPU cores in 18 data centers in six world regions.

"Many HTML5 developers say that they are front-end guys that want to code with JavaScript on the front-end and not really the complex actions of managing servers. Unfortunately, if their applications have collaborative features or if they need to keep their data stored in a central storage, managing servers will be necessary at some point," said João Parreira, CTO, Realtime.co. "In this session, we will discuss how developers can build applications that take advantage of a robust BaaS to deliver highly scalable, end-to-end application performance."

The Realtime Framework is powered by the company's proprietary technology, including very easy to use set of libraries for different platforms and programming languages, and a secure, fast and highly scalable real-time cloud Pub/Sub messaging system for web and mobile apps. It also leverages HTML5 Websockets to provide true real-time results. Realtime has over 3,000 global clients, delivering an average of over 1.5 million messages per second, with a worldwide footprint that surpasses 800 million user-connections every 24 hours.
