REALTORS® to Hold Nationwide Open House Event June 4-5, 2011

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - May 26, 2011) - REALTORS® throughout Georgia will open the doors to homes across the state during the Nationwide Open House Weekend (NOH) on June 4-5, 2011.

Blue REALTOR® "R" balloons will indicate to the public which homes are participating in the Open House Weekend. There will be a REALTOR® on duty inside the home to answer consumers' questions about that particular home and the details of buying and selling a home in this market. In conjunction with NOH, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® is hosting a contest on Twitter that encourages consumers to tweet about their weekend experience to @garealtors with the hashtag #HomeTweetHome. On Monday, June 6, two $50.00 gift cards and one $150.00 gift card to the home improvement store of the winners' choice will be awarded. Winners will be selected at random.

REALTORS® are ready to educate consumers on why now is a great time to buy with low interest rates, historically low prices, and plentiful inventory at every price point.

Georgia's Open House Weekend is a part of the Nationwide REALTOR® Open House event on the weekend of June 4-5. The blue REALTOR® balloons will fly all across the U.S.A. that weekend, welcoming the public to learn more about their local housing market as well as the details involved when buying and selling a home.
