ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL--(Marketwired - Feb 6, 2014) - The Association of Business Information & Media Companies (ABM) announced that Robert Cassidy of Scranton Gillette Communications/SGC Horizon has been chosen as the winner of the 46th annual G.D. Crain, Jr. Award. The award recognizes a business media editor with a proven career record of product quality and high journalistic standards. It will be presented to Cassidy at the 60th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards ceremony on March 14, 2014.
Cassidy began his business journalism career in medical and scientific publishing. In 2002, he applied his talents to covering the construction industry as he continues to do today as editorial director of Building Design+Construction magazine and related products and events. With Cassidy at the helm, his publications have garnered four Neal Awards.

Established in 1969, the G.D. Crain, Jr. Award is named for Gustavus Dedman Crain, Jr., the founder of Crain Communications, Advertising Age and BtoB Magazine.
