COLORADO SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2013) - Alert Management Systems (Alert), an industry leader in Windows-based rental management software, achieved record high attendance at its 28th Annual IAUA (User Group) Conference, November 7-8, 2013. According to the company, nearly 150 rental professionals, Alert staff, and sponsoring vendor personnel attended the IAUA Conference at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in Colorado Springs, a new record for the long-running annual event. The company saw a high level of interest in its twin themes of Profitability and Mobility, and in the shorter, more tightly packed agenda. The result was an increase in the number of stores represented as well as the number of attendees per store. Over half the attendees represented multi-store operations, including big names in tool, heavy equipment and event rental. Attendees came to the event from as far away as Canada, Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, Maine, and Florida.
The International Alert Users' Association, IAUA, is the longest running and largest independent user's group in the rental industry. It provides many important benefits for its owner/members, who pay only a nominal annual fee ($95 per business owner) to belong.
In the 'Town Hall Meeting' (run by the members), the new conference format was approved by unanimous acclamation for continuation next year. In written evaluations, over 96% of attendees approved of the new schedule and the majority gave the conference the highest possible rating ('Excellent').
In addition to over 15 optional classes and round tables, attendees networked with other owners and managers to share expertise in similar markets. Three formal 'Advisory Councils' (General Rental, Event Rental, and Heavy Equipment Rental) were also convened to discuss market-specific issues and to recommend software features to help solve them.
Vendor partners included Volatile Studios, a web site software firm who has developed Sign and Rent™, Alert's new mobile 'paperless' contract management initiative.
