Record-Breaking 100,000th Visitor Attends Lincoln: The Exhibition at the Reagan Library

SIMI VALLEY, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 12, 2013) -

Lincoln: The Exhibition
continues to draw record crowds at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. In just eleven weeks, over 100,000 visitors have toured through this extraordinary exhibit. These record-breaking numbers rival only those dating back to 2005 when the Reagan Library opened its Air Force One Pavilion. With only seven weeks left until the exhibit closes, Reagan Library staff recommends that people purchase advance tickets online at

Mother and daughter duo Betty and Samantha from Ventura County came to the Reagan Library today specifically to tour the Lincoln exhibit. Finding out they were visitors 99,999 and 100,000, they remarked, "This is so exciting! This never happens to us!" Daughter Samantha had purchased a Reagan Library membership for her mother Betty at Christmas, and although Betty had visited the Library a few times since then, she hadn't yet toured the Lincoln exhibit. "It's a mother-daughter day for us! We can't wait to see the exhibit." said Samantha.

With its unique and educational content for all ages, Lincoln: The Exhibition has a broad appeal to families with children of all ages, as well as to seniors and the general public alike. Key items on display include President Lincoln-signed copies of the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment, President Lincoln's famous stovepipe hat and pocket watch, the bloody pillow on which he lay his head the night he died, and the Oscar winning sets and nominated costumes from the Steven Spielberg directed 'Lincoln' movie.

"The crowds and their reactions for our Lincoln exhibit have been tremendous," said John Heubusch, executive director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. "People are loving both the Hollywood and history side of the exhibit featuring our nation's sixteenth president. With only a few weeks left until the exhibit closes, we strongly urge you to come out and see this exceptional exhibit for yourself."
