Record Cyber Monday Sales for SHOES.COM Breaks Sales Records and Identifies Mobile Shopping Trends this Cyber Monday

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - December 01, 2015) - SHOES.COM, Canada's leading online footwear and apparel retailer, today announced it achieved its largest one-day sales to date on Cyber Monday and identified a sharp increase in purchases occurring on mobile and tablet devices.

The Company's record breaking Cyber Monday sales exceeded $5 million CAD, with 33 percent of all orders occurring on a mobile or tablet device, up from 25 percent on the same day last year. The Company also identified a number of mobile shopping trends on SHOES.COM this Cyber Monday:

  • Mobile traffic exceeded desktop, accounting for 57.2 percent of all online traffic, an increase of 15.2 percent over 2014.
  • For the first time, the average tablet order value of $136.42 exceeded that of desktops, which ended the day at $134.06.
  • Mobile shoppers spent $121.06 per order, an increase of 4.3 percent over 2014.
  • Online sales for Black Friday peaked at 10:00AM PST with sales increasing 21.5 percent over 2014.
  • Mobile traffic was 3.5X that of tablets traffic.
  • iOS devices outpaced Android devices in many online shopping metrics.
