Red 7 Media Partners With InXpo to Create Next-Generation Virtual Business Environments

NORWALK, CT and CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - August 5, 2009) - Red 7 Media, LLC, a business media company headquartered in Norwalk, CT, has signed an agreement with InXpo, a leading provider of privately-branded virtual events and virtual business environments, to co-develop next-generation platforms for creating profitable online business communities and events.

R7M is the leading producer of content and community in the event and publishing industries, with an extensive array of print, online, and live-event brands that provide valuable connections and thought leadership to propel our customers businesses. The company will work with InXpo to create year-round virtual environments for the event industry and the magazine publishing industry, providing users with a host of rich information services, including research, webinars, events, community interaction and productivity tools.

Phase One of the agreement will see the launch of the first online trade show for the magazine publishing industry -- FOLIO:SHOW Virtual, October 27, 2009; followed a week later by EXPOTECH Virtual, the first online event focusing on event technology and its impact on face-to-face meetings and events. Both online events will feature dozens of educational sessions, keynote presentations, live demos of technologies and solutions, and extensive exhibit halls where vendors can showcase their products and services with demonstrations, videos, white papers, webinars, and live chat.

Following their launch, these virtual events will be archived within separate online environments being created for the Event Marketing Institute and the FOLIO Media Management Institute -- each of which are membership-based business intelligence units of Red 7 Media that serve their respective industries. The virtual "institutes" will serve as ongoing platforms for future online events for each industry, as well as a central repository of content and members-only resources -- including research, reports, and a range of productivity tools. A key element of this initiative is an innovative peer-to-peer business platform -- as well as access to "birds of a feather" workgroups -- based on needs and challenges.
