Red Cloud Exploration-Operational Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2011) - Red Cloud Exploration is pleased to provide an operational update on the current status of its operations in Kansas and Oklahoma regarding the following projects.

Bedlam Project, Osage County, OK

In the 4th Quarter, the company acquired 480 acres in Osage County for the exploration and development of oil and gas. The play is characterized by multi-pay shallow production with four different formations of interest below 2800FT. The technical staff believes that acreage should be able to produce a blend of equally weighted oil and gas. Red Cloud Exploration CEO Kevin Sylla commented, "The acquisition is our first entry in the Oklahoma window of the Cherokee basin and provides us with a solid base for expansion. We will look aggressively to expand our footprint in the area over the next year. We have identified several key locations and look to commence drilling within the next 60 days."

Black River Project, Woodson County, KS

The company anticipates spudding the Weber 3-10 during the 1st Quarter. The well will target the FT.Scott Limestone, Squirrel Sandstone, and Mississippian all less than 1400FT. Red Cloud Exploration has successfully drilled 7 out of 7 wells in the project. Four of the seven wells are currently in production. The company is in the process of investigating different fracturing and completion techniques for the remaining wells.

Blackhawk Project, Jefferson County, KS

Management has delayed the drilling of the Noll 1-10 and Noll 2-10 until the end of the 1st Quarter. The two wells will target four different objectives under 2500FT. Red Cloud Exploration is in the process of negotiating a midstream transportation contract for the area. Concurrently, the company has commissioned Satellite Mapping on the project area to complement its current reservoir engineering and geology.
