TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 19, 2007) - A recent survey conducted by the online bargain shopping gurus at reveals that nearly 58 per cent of online shoppers still prefer to shop Canadian.

The survey also showed that online shoppers are putting more faith in opinions expressed by fellow shoppers in chat rooms and message boards than in professional reviews of products and services. As a result, has increased web traffic on the site by over 100 percent this year with more than 1.2M unique Canadian visitors each month.

Results from the survey confirm that Canadians are becoming more active online shoppers and are taking the initiative to compare products, prices, and user reviews on sites like before making purchasing decisions. When asked what online shopping features they would like in the future, respondents asked for online and mobile alerts, so that they would never miss the best deals.
