Redford Leaves Workers and Pensioners Out in the Cold

Government meets behind closed doors while making decisions about worker-funded pensions without negotiation

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Feb. 24, 2014) - The elected leaders of some of Alberta's largest unions are going to wait in -25°C weather outside Government House in the hope that the Redford Government might relent and negotiate about pensions with the representatives of those who actually contribute to the plans.

When: 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014
Where: Government House, 12845 - 102 Avenue NW, Edmonton
Who: Gil McGowan, President of the Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL)
