Redhawk Appoints New Director and Technical Advisor and Provides Strategic Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2009) - Redhawk Resources, Inc. ("Redhawk" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RDK)(FRANKFURT:QF7) is pleased to announce that Gregory E. McKelvey has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company and K. Brock Riedell has joined the Company's Technical Advisory Committee. Mr. McKelvey is a Professional Geologist with over 45 years of experience and has held senior roles for major mining companies including Phelps Dodge. Mr. McKelvey was closely involved in the discovery and development of various copper porphyry deposits most recently with Quadra Mining Ltd. on the Sierra Gorda project and has been a member of Redhawk's Technical Advisory Committee since 2006. Brock Riedell is a Consulting Geologist with over 30 years in exploration and economic evaluation of resource properties primarily with major resources companies. Mr. Riedell was most recently a Geoscientist and Chief Geologist with BHP Billiton in its Vancouver office. In his various roles with BHP, Mr. Riedell designed, staffed and executed highly focused searches for porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold deposits throughout the central Chile-Argentina and US cordilleras.

Stephen Barley, Managing Director of Redhawk, commented, "Redhawk is very fortunate to have attracted such high caliber industry professionals to join our Board of Directors and Advisory Committee. Messrs. McKelvey and Riedell's knowledge and experience in discovering large porphyry copper deposits and their combined interest in pursuing the potential of additional large copper porphyry systems at Copper Creek will be of great assistance to our Company and in particular accomplishing the strategy we are now pursuing."

In reference to the Company's direction at Copper Creek, Joe Sandberg, President of Redhawk, stated, "We have been successful in proving significant resources in copper and molybdenum as previously reported. Redhawk has also been granted an Aquifer Protection Permit by the State of Arizona being the major and most time consuming permit to allow us to begin underground development at Copper Creek. We will continue with discussions with interested third parties in regard to developing this existing resource with the goal of enhancing shareholder value.

This currently known resource represents only about 20% of Copper Creek where drilling with a resource expansion focus has been completed and the potential for additional resource expansion exists. In the Company's opinion there is the potential for larger copper porphyry systems on the unexplored remaining 80% of Copper Creek as evidenced by the over 400 breccias on the property. With the involvement of Greg McKelvey and Brock Riedell as well as other experienced personnel familiar with the region and copper porphyry systems, the Company is developing targets for further exploration drilling at Copper Creek to assess this potential."

About Redhawk

Redhawk is a Canadian-based resource exploration and development company with primary focus on the accelerated development of its advanced stage Copper Creek copper-molybdenum project in San Manuel, Arizona. The Company also has a gold/silver property in Nevada.

The 100% owned Copper Creek property consists of approximately seven square miles of almost totally contiguous patented and unpatented mining claims and state prospecting permits, located about 70 miles northeast of Tucson, Arizona and about 15 miles east of San Manuel. The property is in the prolific southwest US porphyry copper belt at the projected intersection of a major northwest belt of porphyry copper deposits or mines (Ray, Miami/Globe, Superior/Resolution, Johnson Camp) and a major east-northeast belt of porphyry deposits (San Manuel/Kalamazoo, Silver Bell, Lakeshore, Safford, Morenci). The property is within sight of the former BHP Kalamazoo/San Manuel copper smelter and mine and within 30 miles of an existing operating copper mill and smelter. Copper Creek has significant copper and molybdenum resources and is open in most directions. The area is a mining friendly and politically secure location with excellent and readily accessible infrastructure. (For the complete reports visit our website or
